TMJ
TMJ stands for Temporomandibular Joint – or jaw joint.
The TMJ syndrome is a painful syndrome often caused by repetitive jaw clenching that occurs consciously or unconsciously such as when sleeping (Bruxism). The muscle of the jaw become very strong and tense. One of the treatments of TMJ is injection of Botolunism Toxin (BOTOX) to weaken the muscular contraction. As there are many causes of TMJ, BOTOX may not work for everyone. Careful evaluation and weighing of benefit and risks must be made before undertaking this or any treatment.
If you suffer from this condition see your doctor or make an appointment at our clinic for an evaluation.
